The annual Urs marks the spiritual union of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (Rahmatullah Alayhi), fondly known as Khwaja Garib Nawaz, with the Divine. The Ajmer Sharif Dargah, constructed in the 13th century, stands as a symbol of unity and inclusivity, attracting people from diverse backgrounds, all drawn by the saint’s timeless message of universal love.


Reflecting on the enduring relevance of Sufism, Syed Ali Dujana Gurdezi shared, “Khwaja Garib Nawaz taught us to love towards all and Malice towards none. Urs Mubarak 2025: Key Dates and Highlights


The celebrations officially began with the flag-hoisting ceremony on December 28, 2024. The sacred Jannati Darwaza will be opened on January 2, 2025, allowing pilgrims to pass through this heavenly gateway.


Other significant dates include:


• Chatti Sharif Dua: January 7, 2025

• Namaz-e-Jummah: January 10, 2025

• Bara Qul (Conclusion): January 10, 2025


Throughout the Urs, devotees will engage in prayers, qawwali performances, spiritual discourses, and communal feasts, embodying the spirit of Khwaja Garib Nawaz’s teachings.
